My kids love this parka. I don’t have to wait for them to change after swimming practice so they just put it on and get in the car. They don’t get my seats wet and during the summer I take the sleeves off so they wear it as a vest and don't complain about being too hot. Total mom hack! Highly recommend! We also have the Delfina goggles for over two years now and they are very comfortable.

Which size should I order?
Sizes fit ages 4 to 8 and 9 to 14. The smaller runs 30¼ inches long with an 18½ inch sleeve, the larger 37½ inches long with a 22¾ inch sleeve. If your swimmer is 8 or 9 and sitting between the two, order the larger one. The parka is cut oversized on purpose so it lasts more than one season, and sleeves that run long give cold hands somewhere to go.
Will it actually keep my kid warm after practice?
The inside is fully fleece lined, sleeves and hood included, and the shell blocks wind. Getting out of the water is the coldest part of swimming, and most of that cold is wind moving across wet skin, so the shell does as much work as the lining does. A parent put it this way in their review: the water resistant material keeps kids warm and dry, especially during early practices.
Can they put it on over a wet suit?
Yes, that is what it is built for. The two-way front zipper means your swimmer can get in and out without pulling anything over a wet head, and the fleece keeps working when it is damp.
How do the sleeves come off?
They detach at the shoulder, so the parka becomes a vest. Kids do it themselves. That is the whole reason the product exists, because a parka with fixed sleeves sits in a closet for six months a year.
Is it waterproof?
It is water and wind resistant, not waterproof. It handles a wet deck, splashes, and a damp suit. It is not a rain jacket and it is not built to stand in a downpour. The pockets are the same, they will take a splash and not a swim.
What are the pockets for?
Six of them. Two water resistant hand pockets and two more inside for anything that cannot get wet, and two mesh pockets sized for caps and goggles so wet gear stays separate and can breathe instead of sitting sealed up.
How do I wash it?
Cold water, gentle cycle, hang to dry. Zip it all the way closed first so the zipper does not catch on the lining. Heat is what breaks down technical fabric and zipper tape, so keep it out of the dryer.
